Simply named TRUDON, the new perfume line still claims references to religion, royalty and revolution. And yet breaks free from them. Three highly praised perfumers – Lyn Harris, Antoine Lie and Yann Vasnier – infuse the Trudon 1643 collection with rich historical notes that are meaningful today. They composed five contemporary chapters: in each one, noble, natural ingredients take centre stage. Neither feminine nor masculine, the perfumes contain an olfactory complexity that hints at a character rather than a gender.
It is part of Cire Trudon’s ethos to collaborate with different talents, promote creative freedom and showcase different expertise. Handpicking three perfumers was therefore a deliberate choice and despite each perfumer’s singular approach, a strong statement runs through this first collection of Trudon 1643. Individually given a brief, each nose was taken to a Parisian landmark; chosen for its evocative meaning; each venue catalysed singular ideas and sources of inspiration.

Following in his fathers footsteps he has created some of the most coveted fragrances for the houses of Guerlain, Tom Ford, Narciso Rodriguez, Gucci, Nina Ricci, Comme de Garcons, to name a few.

The story begins with Celestino and Lucia Durante who after the Second World War decided to move from a small town called Sant’Elena Sannita to Rome. Coming from a family with a long artisan tradition, they used their skills to open a tiny storefront selling interesting fragrances, hand made soaps and other beauty products. From these humble beginnings the business grew into a chain of shops that quickly became a reference point for luxury personal care in the city.
The skill and craftsmanship were passed on through the generations of the Durante family and in 1996 Celestino and Lucia’s grandchildren expanded the business by creating a line of exclusive fragrances. The Profumum Roma scents are exquisitely crafted to evoke the emotions and memories of their beloved Italy. Inspiration has come from an eclectic mix of Italian motifs including stories of Rome, iconic vacation islands and even a delicious local pastry shop. French Flower takes its inspiration from a tale from Provence, where Aurélien was born, that young people who were not married yet were forbidden to walk the tuberose fields at night, because the smell is so sensual and intoxicating. Aurélien wanted to recreate that smell.
Aurélien combined two different extractions of tuberose: an absolute and an enfleurage - extracted from tuberoses organically grown by Matiere Premiere.
The absolute expresses the richness, the power and opulence of tuberose. Enfleurage is a traditional and organic technique of extraction that captures the scent of the flowers in a vegetal wax. It highlights the warm, sensual aspect of tuberose, close to the smell of skin. Ginger Oil Nigeria amplifies the whiteness of the flower. Green Tea Leaf Oil China and a Green Pear accord underline the vegetal character of this stemmed flower.

His childhood haunts included the family cellars in Cognac. Before graduating from CELSA, he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scent, in search of a ‘language’ common to gods and mortals. Remembering the “angels’ share” as part of his heritage, he was led into the world of perfumery. The “angels’ share” is what the House of Hennessy calls the percentage that – inexplicably – evaporates from cognac cellars, like an offering to the gods.
Many of Kilian’s fragrances today carry this childhood memory as they are reminiscent of the sugar in the alcohol and the wood of the cognac barrels

They were full of joie de vivre and wore grey calico frocks that gave them their nickname. On sunny days, when the workshop bell rang, they would rush off in pursuit of adventure in the bars of Montmartre and the guinguettes on the Marne, where they would dance to the strains of the accordion. These fun-loving creatures paired up with the bohemian students in the Latin Quarter, and provided the inspiration for the artists at Montmartre, becoming the heroines of paintings by Renoir and Monet.
Grisette is a classical composition with top notes of an armful of freshly cut roses. For the first time for decades, Lubin is using an alcoholate obtained by macerating rose concrete. This preserves the most volatile notes that mingle with hints of grapefruit to give a green sensation of fresh roses. A beautiful dedication to iris and the alluring woody powdery aroma extracted from its rhizomes. Rhizomes are the flower’s creeping root-stalks which it sends under the ground to spread around.
It takes about 1000 kg of dry rhizomes (carefully dried and cured for 4 years) to produce just 2 kg of iris butter (also called orris).
It’s truly precious - MarieJeanne spent about a year going through 160 attempts before arriving at their perfect blend of several iris extracts: butter of iris Florentina and iris Pallida and absolute of iris Germanica. Absolutes are derived from butter to achieve a fresher character.
Their goal was to create a modern, refined iris perfume and to depart from dated powdery violet interpretations.
Very few perfume houses have access to the ingredients of the same caliber that Marie Jeanne have used so generously in their Iris Pallida. The perfume is 28% strong, very diffusive but at the same time tantalisingly delicate.
The crown jewel of the formula, the blend of orris extracts, is set on a pedestal of sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver. Iris Pallida is an elegant and sensual modern iris perfume, meticulously blended from the most refined raw materials available to perfumers at the moment.
The finest iris butter absolute is used to create a concise formula in which essences of sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver offers the foundation of a modernised iris with a fresh hazelnut inflection. Cashmeran, musks and ambroxan add density to the notes and brings sensuality and complexity for a contemporary scent.

As Part of the intangible cultural heritage site by UNESCO since 2018, Grasse is the world capital of perfume. It is internationally known for its emblematic flowers: the tuberose, the jasmine grandiflorum and the centifolia rose.
Born in Grasse, Georges Maubert has been immersed in the world of perfume since his childhood, and is conscious of the treatment of each local flower, right up to the composition of scents. He is part of the fifth generation of the Robertet company, world leader in natural raw materials. Since 1850, his family has worked in the perfume industry as farmers, chemists, perfumers, and sourcing experts. This ancestral knowledge has been mastered and developed to offer you the most beautiful fragrances.
Since his youth, Georges has been aware of the numerous scents of the Grasse region, especially those of the rose fields and the orange blossom fougassettes of the Maison Venturini. His childhood haunts included the family cellars in Cognac. Before graduating from CELSA, he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scent, in search of a ‘language’ common to gods and mortals. Remembering the “angels’ share” as part of his heritage, he was led into the world of perfumery. The “angels’ share” is what the House of Hennessy calls the percentage that – inexplicably – evaporates from cognac cellars, like an offering to the gods.
Many of Kilian’s fragrances today carry this childhood memory as they are reminiscent of the sugar in the alcohol and the wood of the cognac barrels

Simply named TRUDON, the new perfume line still claims references to religion, royalty and revolution. And yet breaks free from them. Three highly praised perfumers – Lyn Harris, Antoine Lie and Yann Vasnier – infuse the Trudon 1643 collection with rich historical notes that are meaningful today. They composed five contemporary chapters: in each one, noble, natural ingredients take centre stage. Neither feminine nor masculine, the perfumes contain an olfactory complexity that hints at a character rather than a gender.
It is part of Cire Trudon’s ethos to collaborate with different talents, promote creative freedom and showcase different expertise. Handpicking three perfumers was therefore a deliberate choice and despite each perfumer’s singular approach, a strong statement runs through this first collection of Trudon 1643. Simply named TRUDON, the new perfume line still claims references to religion, royalty and revolution. And yet breaks free from them. Three highly praised perfumers – Lyn Harris, Antoine Lie and Yann Vasnier – infuse the Trudon 1643 collection with rich historical notes that are meaningful today. They composed five contemporary chapters: in each one, noble, natural ingredients take centre stage. Neither feminine nor masculine, the perfumes contain an olfactory complexity that hints at a character rather than a gender.
It is part of Cire Trudon’s ethos to collaborate with different talents, promote creative freedom and showcase different expertise. Handpicking three perfumers was therefore a deliberate choice and despite each perfumer’s singular approach, a strong statement runs through this first collection of Trudon 1643. Individually given a brief, each nose was taken to a Parisian landmark; chosen for its evocative meaning; each venue catalysed singular ideas and sources of inspiration.

Rolling in Love is a musc de peau, capturing the sensation of feeling so high on love that it seems to almost “get under the skin.” Working with perfumer Pascal Gaurin, Kilian Hennessy took an entirely new direction. Rolling in Love is more direct and less faceted than his previous fragrances—almost “monochromatic” in its focused representation of a single emotion. Rolling in Love is a “white” scent, layering different textures along the scent’s trail with notes of ambrette seeds, almond milk, iris, and musk.

When I launched my brand in 2007, my goal was to put perfumery back on its pedestal and return it to its former glory, the way perfumery existed in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
For me, perfume is the essential accessory of every man and woman. Each fragrance that I make is imagined and created as the ultimate way to express oneself and all the facets of our unique personalities' - Kilian Hennessy
Heir to a long line of cognac makers who were pioneers in luxury, Kilian decided to take up the torch of family tradition. Creating a new luxury brand was definitely a challenge worthy of his predecessors.
His childhood haunts included the family cellars in Cognac. Before graduating from CELSA, he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scent, in search of a ‘language’ common to gods and mortals. Remembering the “angels’ share” as part of his heritage, he was led into the world of perfumery. The “angels’ share” is what the House of Hennessy calls the percentage that – inexplicably – evaporates from cognac cellars, like an offering to the gods.
Many of Kilian’s fragrances today carry this childhood memory as they are reminiscent of the sugar in the alcohol and the wood of the cognac barrels

Directly from Rome we bring you Profumum Roma, a family owned niche perfume brand that make their scent in oil base. The story begins with Celestino and Lucia Durante who after the Second World War decided to move from a small town called Sant’Elena Sannita to Rome. Coming from a family with a long artisan tradition, they used their skills to open a tiny storefront selling interesting fragrances, hand made soaps and other beauty products. From these humble beginnings the business grew into a chain of shops that quickly became a reference point for luxury personal care in the city.
The skill and craftsmanship were passed on through the generations of the Durante family and in 1996 Celestino and Lucia’s grandchildren expanded the business by creating a line of exclusive fragrances. The Profumum Roma scents are exquisitely crafted to evoke the emotions and memories of their beloved Italy. The story begins with Celestino and Lucia Durante who after the Second World War decided to move from a small town called Sant’Elena Sannita to Rome. Heir to a long line of cognac makers who were pioneers in luxury, Kilian decided to take up the torch of family tradition. Creating a new luxury brand was definitely a challenge worthy of his predecessors.
His childhood haunts included the family cellars in Cognac. Before graduating from CELSA, he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scent, in search of a ‘language’ common to gods and mortals. Remembering the “angels’ share” as part of his heritage, he was led into the world of perfumery. The “angels’ share” is what the House of Hennessy calls the percentage that – inexplicably – evaporates from cognac cellars, like an offering to the gods. Many of Kilian’s fragrances today carry this childhood memory as they are reminiscent of the sugar in the alcohol and the wood of the cognac barrels.
In 2007, Kilian launched his own namesake brand with the ambition of reflecting not only his distinct personality, but also to achieve a perfect alliance between elegance and uncompromising luxury. His “eco-luxe” philosophy that each bottle can be refilled and kept for a lifetime catapulted the brand to the top of the fragrance market and into a niche of its very own.

Perfumer Calice Becker was inspired by the fascinating contrast between the painting’s facets, which she describes as 'texturised and brilliant, rich and voluptuous'. Its zesty luminosity is the fragrant expression of this brightness. The petal-y rose heart depicts all of the facets of the rose. Finally, vanilla absolute’s unctuosity appears generously in the dry down, adorned by an exclusive patchouli molecule, the Akigalawood.

Heir to a long line of cognac makers who were pioneers in luxury, Kilian decided to take up the torch of family tradition. Creating a new luxury brand was definitely a challenge worthy of his predecessors.
His childhood haunts included the family cellars in Cognac. Before graduating from CELSA, he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scent, in search of a ‘language’ common to gods and mortals. Remembering the “angels’ share” as part of his heritage, he was led into the world of perfumery. The “angels’ share” is what the House of Hennessy calls the percentage that – inexplicably – evaporates from cognac cellars, like an offering to the gods.
Many of Kilian’s fragrances today carry this childhood memory as they are reminiscent of the sugar in the alcohol and the wood of the cognac barrels
